Sometimes people end their relationship with their employer because they decide to retire. Being financially secure in retirement can take a lot of planning, so it’s a good idea to start thinking about retirement well before your retirement happens.

- The U.S. Department of Labor also has a Savings Matter website that includes information for workers and employers on retirement savings.
